Meeting between leaders and community a hit


JALAN KUBU - Numerous problems were brought forward to the attention of leaders, including Human Resources Minister, Datuk S. Subramaniam, who attended the 'Pemimpin Bersama Rakyat' programme yesterday.

The programme, which was held at SRJK(T) Kubu here, was attended by more than 100 people.

Other than the Human Resources Minister, the programme was also attended by State MIC leaders including State Transport, Information and

 

Consumer Affairs committee chairman, R. Perumal; State MIC Liaison chief, Datuk R. Raghavan and Special Secretary to the Chief Minister (Welfare and Public Affairs), M.S Mahadevan.

All sorts of problems, including those pertaining to Social Security Organization (Socso), were brought before the leaders for their attention.

Speaking to reporters later, Subramaniam said the programme was held to enable officers from the Ministry and other related agencies and departments to listen to problems faced by the general public.

He said this will enable them to identify their problems and find ways to help them solved these problems.

"This is to enhance the relations between leaders and members of the community. I hope they will realise that as leaders, we are truly concerned about their problems and well-being," he added.
