PAYA RUMPUT - Straddle along a 'half-moon' along Lebuh AMJ, the Pasar Ramadhan of Paya Rumput, the site of the said Ramadhan market is positioned just in front of one the known traditional houses of Paya Rumput.

Besides, the usual Malay cakes or kueh and a variety of thirst quenching drinks like glass jelly, Soya drink, syrup, it is also a palce to pick up a packet of Flavored Rice or Nasi Minyak, normally eaten with pickles m, a variety of hot curry meat dishes including the Rending, Krumak and so on.

Cousins, Atikah Hashim and Fatimah Harith operate the Nasi Minyak stall.

"We are helping our parents to sell their unique kampong style cooking," Atikah told Melaka Hari Ini (MHI) yesterday. According to the cousins, their Rendang was a best seller and is purchase by people from all walks of life including non-Muslims.

Those who prefer something fluffy can try out the Murtabat. Unlike Roti Canai, Murtabat comes with minced meat as main its ingredient.
